| * 26/07/10 CONCERT AT THE COVELANO MARBLE QUARRY In the context of the festival „European Organ Academy 2010“ on 25th July 2010 took place an inimitable concert at the Covelano Marble Quarry. The musicians Jan von Klewitz (Berlin) saxophone, Manfred Gampenrieder (Ritten) percussion instruments and Dietrich Oberdörfer (Meran) organ, synthesizer and vocals let arise spherical sound in the marble quarry. The artist Reinhold Tappeiner painted with light adequate atmosheres on the white walls of the marble quarry. In our Gallery you can find some pictures of the concert. |
| * 19/07/10 NOTICE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL EUROPEAN ORGAN ACADEMY CHURBURG VENOSTA VALLY An organ concert takes place on 25th July 2010 from 16.00 to 18.00 in the Covelano marble quarry. The three experienced and renowned musicians of the „Steinachprojekt“ - Jan von Klewitz (Berlin) saxophone , Manfred Gampenrieder (Ritten) percussion instruments and Dietrich Oberdörfer (Meran)- organ, synthesizer and vocals- evolve music in the marble cathedrale that represents elements of the gregorian chant, electronic sounds, jazz and classical organ music forming a new style. | *11/06/2010 THE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL FOR STONE WORKING VISITS THE COVELANO MARBLE QUARRY On the 08th June 2010 the prospective sculptors of the vocational school for stone working „Johannes Steinhäuser” visited as part of a school excursion first the marble quarry of the company Lasa Marmo at Lasa and furthermore, after a hike in the mountains, they crest the higher situated Covelano marble quarry above Silandro. „For us it is especially important that young people have the possibility of a well-founded education and therefore it’s a great pleasure to show the work methodes at a modern marble quarry to the students of the vocational school“ is the company owner Burkhard Pohl convinced and insists on making personally the guided tour in the Covelano marble quarry for the students and their teachers. |
